The further north you go in Napa Valley the narrower it gets. Therefore many vineyards start to climb up the hill sides. The upper valley is also a place of more extreme temperatures. The days are warmer and the nights cooler. But this is still Napa and the conditions are ideal for growing grapes. 

The rocky slopes of the vineyard where this wine is born take every advantage of the unique conditions. Once picked the wine was fermented in upright wooden vats and spent 30 months aging in a mix of old and new French oak barrels.

When you pour her from the bottle you will find a wine of amazing mouthfeel that coats your mouth like a velvet glove.  The strong aromatics continue all the way through the palate for a finish that lasts for days.
